Title: | Palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes with chelating sulfinyl functions | Authors: | Chooi, S.Y.M. Leung, P.-h. Mok, K.F. |
Issue Date: | 15-Mar-1993 | Citation: | Chooi, S.Y.M.,Leung, P.-h.,Mok, K.F. (1993-03-15). Palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes with chelating sulfinyl functions. Inorganica Chimica Acta 205 (2) : 245-247. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The synthesis of palladium and platinum complexes of (±)- Ph2ECH2CH2S(O)Me (EP, As) is described. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study of [(±)-Ph2PCH2CH2S(O)MePdCl2] reveals a square-planar geometry at the central atom which is attached by a chelate ring via the PS donors of the sulfinyl-substituted ligand. Similar structures are assigned to all four complexes by 1H NMR spectroscopy in d3-acetonitrile solutions. Oxygen-metal bonds are not involved in these molecules. © 1993. | Source Title: | Inorganica Chimica Acta | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/94475 | ISSN: | 00201693 |
