ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1016/S0957-4166(97)00179-1 | Abstract: | The physically stable but chemically reactive square-planar complex (+)-[(dichloro){S,S)-1,4-dimesyloxy-2,3-butanediamine}palladium(II)] and its platinum(II) analogue have been prepared from the reactions between the dihydrochloride salt of the diamine and K2MCl4 (where M = Pd, Pt) in water. The palladium complex has been analysed by X-ray crystallography. In contrast to their metal complexes, the free diamine ligand and its dihydrochloride salt are unstable and cannot be isolated. | Source Title: | Tetrahedron Asymmetry | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/94473 | ISSN: | 09574166 | DOI: | 10.1016/S0957-4166(97)00179-1 |
