Issue Date: | 5-Nov-2009 | Citation: | Zhang, K., Huang, K.-W., Li, J., Luo, J., Chi, C., Wu, J. (2009-11-05). A soluble and stable quinoidal bisanthene with nir absorption and amphoteric redox behavior. Organic Letters 11 (21) : 4854-4857. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1021/ol902241u | Abstract: | A soluble and stable quinoidal bisanthene (3) was synthesized, and it exhibited high molar absorptivity in the near-IR spectral region. In addition, compound 3 also showed good electrochemical amphotericity with four reversible one-electron transfer steps. Compound 3 represents a rare example of soluble and stable-conjugated polycyclic hydrocarbons with quinoidal character. © 2009 American Chemical Society. | Source Title: | Organic Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/75489 | ISSN: | 15237060 | DOI: | 10.1021/ol902241u |
