Title: | A nonparametric approach for selecting the most reliable population | Authors: | Tang, L.C. | Keywords: | Nonparametric Ranking and selection Reliability |
Issue Date: | Feb-1997 | Citation: | Tang, L.C. (1997-02). A nonparametric approach for selecting the most reliable population. Queueing Systems 24 (1-4) : 169-176. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In this paper, we present a nonparametric method for selecting the most reliable population in reliability life testing. We propose a new statistic, the transitional order statistic, and give a natural selection rule based on this statistic. Under the proposed selection rule, the probability of correct selection is calculated by defining a nonlinear indifference zone under the least favorable configuration. Finally, we present an example to illustrate the selection procedure and validate the results. | Source Title: | Queueing Systems | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/54564 | ISSN: | 02570130 |
