Abstract: Massively Multiplayer Online Human In the Loop Simulation (MMOHILS) is a novel simulation technique which borrows heavily from the field of gaming. This naturally raises the question: is a general-purpose programming language such as Java (which has been used to program games) suitable for implementing a MMOHILS? Our work shows that, yes, Java can meet the demands of a real-time, multiple-man-in-the-loop simulation. © 2008 IEEE.
