Scaling laws for these insertion devices were presented and a formula was derived which described the achievable magnetic field of a superconductive undulator as a function of gap-width and period length. Results showed that the maximum magnetic field produced by superconductive undulators for a given gap and a given period length was higher than the field in permanent undulators. | Source Title: | Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/113027 | ISSN: | 01689002 | DOI: | 10.1016/S0168-9002(02)01029-X |
