Abstract: A method for DNA extraction from Pyrrosia piloselloides (L.) Price and Pyrrosia longifolia (Burm.) Morton utilising hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide is described. The genomic DNA isolated was found to be relatively pure and shown to be suitable for RAPD analysis.
