It was shown that a high-permittivity dielectric geometry could excite a magnetic dipolar resonance mode. Its incorporation with metallic wire resonators would generate the double negative resonance behavior, which gave the negative index. The homogenization ability of extending the composite combination into three dimensional structures was discussed. © 2008 American Institute of Physics.||Source Title:||Applied Physics Letters||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/96599||ISSN:||00036951||DOI:||10.1063/1.3021019|
