Abstract: (Chemical Equation Presented) Three modes: An iminoferrocenylphosphane ligand stabilizes low-coordinate and low-valent nickel in [{[η-C 5H4CH=N-(C6H5)]Fe[η-C 5H4P(tBu)2]-N,P}NiICl] (see figure) and similar complexes. The coordination environment is hemilabile as exemplified by three different coordination modes: P,N(σ)-chelate, P,CN(π)-chelate, and P unidentate. These complexes are catalytically active towards ethylene oligomerization. © 2005 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
