Electrochemical performance of microbatteries using crystallized LiCoO 2 and nano-crystalline LiMn2O4 film as cathodes and amorphous LiNiVO4 as anode. Surface Review and Letters 15 (1-2) : 169-174. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Three different electrode films of highly crystallized LiCoO"2, nano-crystalline LiMn"2O"4 as cathode and amorphous LiNiVO"4 as anode were grown on stainless steel substrates by pulsed laser deposition. Microbatteries were assembled using liquid electrode of LiPF"6. The microbatteries were electrochemically tested by charge/discharge cycling and cyclic voltammetry. Both LiCoO"2/LiPF"6/LiNiVO"4 and LiMn"2O"4/LiPF"6/LiNiVO"4 cells showed smooth charge/discharge curves. Although the cells faced a fast capacity loss in the first 10 cycles, about 20 μA/cm2 μm of discharge capacity was attainable after 20 cycles. © 2008 World Scientific Publishing Company. | Source Title: | Surface Review and Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/85950 | ISSN: | 0218625X |
