In our previous work, the algorithm, which is called general skin deformation, requires a complexity of O(m2 n2). In this paper, we improve the complexity from O(m2 n2) to O(m2 + n2) by proposing a simplified deformation process. This improvement greatly reduces the program running time and unnecessary topology changes. Moreover, it makes some impossible deformation with large input sets to become possible. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.||Source Title:||Lecture Notes in Computer Science (including subseries Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence and Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics)||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/78264||ISBN:||9783642452802||ISSN:||03029743||DOI:||10.1007/978-3-642-45281-9_15|
