The evidance for Edward-Wilkinson (EW) behavior in the long time limit for a sputter-eroded surface was provided by the data. It was observed that the crossover to EW behavior occurs more slowly when diffusive surface relaxation is slow. It was found that the crossover behavior in the model leads to effective growth exponents that vary widely depending upon the regime of observation. | Source Title: | Physical Review E - Statistical, Nonlinear, and Soft Matter Physics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/76000 | ISSN: | 15393755 | DOI: | 10.1103/PhysRevE.70.011604 |
