Title: | Synthesis of sharp 2-D filters using the frequency response masking technique | Authors: | Low, Seo-How Lim, Yong-Ching |
Issue Date: | 1997 | Citation: | Low, Seo-How,Lim, Yong-Ching (1997). Synthesis of sharp 2-D filters using the frequency response masking technique. Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems 4 : 2445-2448. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In this paper, we present a new approach to realize sharp 2-D FIR filters using the frequency response masking technique. The synthesis of three common 2-D filters namely the diamond-shaped, fan-shaped and hexagonal-shaped filters are considered. Significant amount of complexity reduction (as compared to direct-form implementation) can be achieved for filters with very narrow transition bands. A design example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the approach. | Source Title: | Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/72960 | ISSN: | 02714310 |
