Abstract: The 2-Dimensional (2-D) scattering of partially buried PEC cylinders at planar interface between two media was analyzed using the MoM with pulse basis functions. The electromagnetic scattering from 2-Dimensional (2-D) targets on ocean-like rough surface was investigated by the generalized forward-backward (GFB) method. The incident field was a plane wave to avoid artificial edge diffraction. It was observed that the contribution of the rough surface scattering to the total scattering coefficients in the specular direction decreased as the root-mean-square (rms) height of the rough surface increased.
