Abstract: The development of a formulation based on the mixed potential integral equations (MPIE) for electromagnetic scattering of an arbitrarily shaped 3D homogeneous chiral object located above high space, was discussed. The field produced by the equivalent surface currents in an unbounded homogeneous chiral medium was the sum of two circularly polarized waves with different sense of rotation and different phase velocities. Investigation on scattering from chiral objects above high space showed that the scattering behavior target could be significantly changed by the chirality parameter. Hence, this is an approach to control the scattering characteristics of targets.
