Abstract: In this paper, the design of a partiallyrotating piezoelectric actuator based on a cylindrical piezoelectric material is presented, with its application in IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection. The principle and dynamic of the proposed system will be discussed, along with its control system. The dynamic of the system is discussed from the fundamental principle of piezoelectricity and structure, resulting in series of equations of motion. The experiment results are presented and discussed, verifying that the proposed system is able to perform oocyte penetration as required in the application. © 2006 IEEE.
