Abstract: This paper presents analysis and design of a zero-voltage switching (ZVS) current-fed three-phase isolated dc/dc converter. It is suitable for interfacing a low voltage dc source (non-conventional energy sources like PV, fuel cells) and a high voltage dc bus in an inverter and presents high efficiency. The analysis is presented for two operating modes, appearing owing to a change in source voltage and variation in duty cycle of semiconductor devices. A complete converter design is presented. Experimental results are demonstrated to verify the given analysis and design and to show the converter performance. © 2012 IEEE.
