Issue Date: | 2004 | Citation: | Zheng, Y.,Dong, H.,Xu, Y.P. (2004). A novel CMOS/BiCMOS UWB pulse generator and modulator. IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest 2 : 1269-1272. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In this paper, a new low voltage high frequency pulse generation circuit is proposed which can be fully integrated in CMOS and/or BiCMOS process. The circuit is able to generate symmetrical pulses those are the second-order derivative of Gaussian pulses with a bandwidth up to 5 GHz and having sufficient swing for UWB applications. Based on the proposed pulse generator, a novel BPSK pulse modulator is also proposed and can be directly used in UWB transmitter. Simulation results based on a 0.18-μm CMOS/BiCMOS technology confirm their performance. | Source Title: | IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/68952 | ISSN: | 0149645X |
