dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a new low voltage high frequency pulse generation circuit is proposed which can be fully integrated in CMOS and/or BiCMOS process. The circuit is able to generate symmetrical pulses those are the second-order derivative of Gaussian pulses with a bandwidth up to 5 GHz and having sufficient swing for UWB applications. Based on the proposed pulse generator, a novel BPSK pulse modulator is also proposed and can be directly used in UWB transmitter. Simulation results based on a 0.18-μm CMOS/BiCMOS technology confirm their performance. | |
