ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Liquid crystal phases of binary mixtures of nonspherical molecules were studied using Monte Carlo molecular simulation based on a standard constant-pressure. The mixtures contained two types of hard Gaussian overlap (HGO) molecules. It was found that the spontaneous ordering of the long and short molecules occurred at the same pressure.
