Abstract
Natural fibers exist abundantly in many countries and if properly used as reinforcement in concrete can present a major break through in the low-cost housing construction. This paper presents strength properties, physical performance and durability of various natural fiber reinforced concrete building products. It also highlights the commercial prospects of these new distinct group of building materials for low-cost housing construction.
