Abstract: In this paper, the computation of the resultant electromagnetic (EM) field distribution inside a dielectric prolate spheroidal human head model due to the radiation from a mobile phone dipole is conducted. By means of the dyadic Green's function technique and the principle of scattering superposition, the EM fields are expressed in terms of appropriate spheroidal vector wave functions. The coupled coefficients of scattered EM fields in human head are obtained numerically and the specific absorption rate (SAR) distributions inside the spheroidal head models are calculated. The various SAR distributions versus the distance between the source and the head, at different operating frequencies and handset inclination angles are presented and discussed.
