Abstract: FlexControl is presented in this paper as a CAE (Computer-Aided-Engineering) platform for designing real-time fuzzy control systems. Capable of integrating all the four phases for the design, namely, tuning, simulation, prototyping and field testing, FlexControl allows the whole design process to be cycled easily and efficiently, thus considerably speeding up the control system design and prototyping. Its hardware architecture and software development are detailed. Its usage is described, along with two illustrative examples.
