Abstract: The generalized exponential matrix technique in the spectral domain is used in conjunction with Galerkin's approach to examine the constitutive parameter effects in microstrip lines with multi-layered bianisotropic media in this paper. To incorporate most practical applications, the mathematical treatment here accounts for very generalized bianisotropic linear media charact-erized by four independent 3×3 con-stitutive tensors but within the confines of a realizable physical range. Numerical results are presented to show the combined effects of cross coupling governed by some magnetic symmetry groups in bianisotropic superstrate-substrate on the effective dielectric constant of dominant mode.
