Abstract: Ways to improve the heat transfer for air-cooled heat exchanger (ACHE) performance were discussed. ACHEs were classified according to their shape and draft created. The analysis and evaluation required a methodology with suitable correlations for heat transfer coefficient. The methodology involved the set of steps and calculations to specify design parameters for ACHEs and was used to analyze and evaluate unit performance.
