Abstract: To improve the performance of microstrip antennas, an idea of utilizing triangular configurations in the analysis and design is proposed. Moreover, a full-wave spatial-domain technique together with the closed-form Green's function has been employed for obtaining S-parameters of microstrip antennas. Numerical results are obtained and a very good agreement is observed. The double-triangular patch antenna is discussed in detail, and some valuable results are acquired. © 2005 IEEE.
