Abstract: Queer communities face varying levels of acceptance, my personal experiences as a crossdresser included. Interactive storytelling is the perfect medium to explore this, as players may take the persona of a queer person and make consequential choices to understand and empathise with their struggles. This report describes the process and iteration of The Charlotte Crisis (TCC), a narrative role-playing game (RPG) detailing my personal experiences as a crossdresser. Through rigorous playtesting, we derived data that continually helped us improve player experience and narrative elements, ultimately creating a fun and insightful game that immerses its players in stories of queer challenges.
