Abstract: Masculinity and femininity are highly elusive and ambiguous terms, but they manifest concretely on men and women's bodies, and as such, they influences men and women's food consumption patterns. By treating food and bodies as texts, by looking at how men and women read their bodies and how they view food, we get an idea of what it means to have a feminine gender identity and what it means to have a masculine gender identity.
