Abstract: Women face unique challenges in the workplace and there usually exists a significant wage gap between men and women in the same jobs. However, many discussions concerning these gender imbalances focus on issues that concern a subset of women’s experiences. Barriers facing low-income women are less frequently discussed. This case study examines the challenges facing low-income women in global cities.
