Abstract: At present, there are very few researches conducted on dispute resolution in management corporation in Singapore. It is the writer's aim to assess the adequacy of the dispute resolution techniques in use today and examine the eminent role which ADR could play in Singapore. In the study, the writer has made certain recommendations to improve the present system of dispute resolution. These measures include promoting the use of ADR in the resolution of disputes, allowing both the managing agent and the Commissioner of Buildings to play a greater role in resolving disputes, forming a residents' committee to enhance relationship, training the managing agent to be a good mediator, and improving the Strata Titles Board by giving it wider jurisdictions. From the study, there was considerable general support for these measures. It is hoped that these measures would be implemented so that the present state of dispute resolution can be more efficient in the near future.
