Abstract: A protocol to induce efficient in vitro flower induction in roses is discussed. The optimal efficiency of flower bud induction is achieved on media containing full strength Murashige-Skoog inorganic salts. The efficiency of flower bud formation is reduced when the subculture time is decreased. The induction protocol is applicable to rose cultivars and other woody species.
