ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The spiny crab genus Hypothalassia Gistel, 1848 (Eriphiidae) previously regarded as monotypic, is revised and two species are now recognised. The type species, Hypothalassia armata (de Haan, 1835), is redescribed and its distribution restricted to the Pacific.
