dc.description.abstractGrewia hirsuta (Korth.) Kochummen is shown to be a later homonym. There are two correct names possible for the taxon, depending on how Grewia is demarcated. If the genus is treated in the broad sense as is current, then Grewia omphacarpa Miq. is correct. If Microcos is segregated from Grewia, as evidence suggests, then Microcos hirsuta (Korth.) Burret is correct.
