dc.description.abstractThe design of a low-cost data capture adapter for a photon correlator to be used with the IBM PC/XT microcomputer is presented. The adapter is used to capture and process data that are shifted out of a clipped photon correlator. The details of the digital circuit design of the adapter is described. The software to control the operation of the adapter is written in 8088 assembly language. the functioning of the adapter is illustrated with the signals from a stroboscope. © 1987.
