dc.description.abstract | The velocities of Rayleigh surface and bulk acoustic modes in (100), (110) and (111) SrTiO3 plates were investigated. The nonobservability of these modes was in accord with results of a calculation of their scattering coefficients. The elastic constants of SrTiO3 were obtained from a simultaneous fit to the velocity angular dispersion data on the bulk acoustic modes for the three crystal plates. The values of the fitted constants were found to be close to those determined using ultrasound. | |
