A narrow glass forming region with highly ionically conducting solid electrolytes has been identified in the system Li2O:P2O5:Ta2O5. High ionic conductivity values of the order 10-5 Ω-1 cm-1 at room temperature are reported. Thermal stability, dielectric response and conductivity relaxation have also been studied and discussed. © 1989.
