Abstract: The heat conduction in one-dimensional (1D) disordered harmonic and anharmonic lattices was studied. Numerical results show that at low temperature, disorder can induce a finite thermal conductivity. Numerical evidence indicate that the nonequilibrium stationary state in a disordered harmonic lattice is not unique.
