Abstract: We attempt to provide an explanation to the charged-particle multiplicity distributions in oxygen-nucleus collision at 60 and 200 GeV per nucleon obtained from Helios Collaboration which is based on an earlier work done on E T distributions. The differences between transverse energy (E T) distribution and multiplicity distributions will also be elucidated. © 1992 Società Italiana di Fisica.
