dc.description.abstract | The structure of 4,4′,6,6′ -tetrachloro-4,4′, 6,6′-tetradeoxy-α, α-galacto-tetrahalose, its atomic numbering and crystal packing were studied. The molecules were found to be held together by a simple network of very weak hydrogen bonds. The bitter taste of the said sugar was also explained by the observed structure. | |
