dc.description.abstractThe triphosphazene (CF3)2PNP(CF3)2NPPh3 (L), prepared by the reaction of (CF3)2PN3 with (CF3)2PNPPh3, has been found to afford the cluster [Os3(CO)11{(CF3)2PNP(CF3)2NPPh3}] (1) with [Os3(CO)11(MeCN)]. Both L and 1 have been shown by X-ray crystallography to have an unusual and highly delocalised PNPNP moiety containing PIV, PV and PVI atoms. © 1992.
