dc.description.abstract | Three new facile methods for the preparations of racemic mixtures of CHBrFI, CHClFI and CHBrClI are described. Mercuric fluoride was found to be an effective fluorinating agent in fluorinations of CHI2Br (6) and CHI2Cl (8) to yield CHBrFI, CHClFI, respectively. Chlorination of CHI2Br (6) by using antimony pentachloride as a chlorinating agent, afforded CHBrClI in convenient and mild condition. © 2002 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. | |
