Title: | A thermometric enthalpy titration study of the cadmium/ferricyanide system | Authors: | Hill, J.O. Lim, S. |
Issue Date: | 8-Oct-1991 | Citation: | Hill, J.O.,Lim, S. (1991-10-08). A thermometric enthalpy titration study of the cadmium/ferricyanide system. Thermochimica Acta 188 (2) : 249-254. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | A thermometric enthalpy titration study of the cadmium/ferricyanide system in aqueous solution has revealed that in the presence of excess cadmium ion, a single cadmium/ferricyanide complex species predominates in solution with a stoichiometry of [Cd10(Fe(CN)6)7]-. In the presence of excess ferricyanide, a single cadmium/ferricyanide complex species again predominates but with a stoichiometry of [Cd(Fe(CN)6)2]4-. It is apparent that the relative concentrations of Cd2+ and [Fe(CN)6]3- control the number and stoichiometry of cadmium/ferricyanide species formed in aqueous solution. © 1991. | Source Title: | Thermochimica Acta | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/93024 | ISSN: | 00406031 |
