Abstract: Single crystals in the Pb1-xCaxTiO3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1) system have been successfully grown using PbO flux. The variation of lattice parameter with Ca concentration has been studied using X-ray powder diffraction analysis. Examination of domain structure using polarized-light and atomic force microscopies is reported. Curie points decrease from 496°C (x = 0) to 467°C (x = 0.05) depending on the Ca concentration. © 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
