Title: | Growth of lead calcium titanate single crystals and their characterization | Authors: | Balakumar, S. Moorthy, S.Ganesa Bocelli, G. Subramanian, C. |
Issue Date: | 1998 | Citation: | Balakumar, S.,Moorthy, S.Ganesa,Bocelli, G.,Subramanian, C. (1998). Growth of lead calcium titanate single crystals and their characterization. Ferroelectrics 207 (3-4) : 497-505. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Single crystals of perovskite ferroelectric solid solutions Pb1-xCaxTiO3 with different Ca content were grown from high temperature solutions by Remeika's technique using KF as a flux. The crystals were nearly equidimensional in morphology and slightly bigger size crystals were obtained for 10 mole% of Ca content. Two dimensional layer growth patterns have been found on the (100) surface. Marked influence of Ca substitution on lattice parameter values and curie temperature has been found using X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry studies. | Source Title: | Ferroelectrics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/91499 | ISSN: | 00150193 |
