Abstract: We investigate the magneto-transport behaviour of Ge1-xMn xTe (x = 0.98) grown by solid-source molecular-beam epitaxy. The magnetization curves measured in different field orientations show that part of the magnetic moments lies out-of-plane, and becomes enhanced as temperature increases. A transition from negative to positive magnetoresistance (MR) was observed at T < 95 K in the MR measurements with field applied perpendicular to sample plane. This transition temperature corresponds to our measured Curie temperature TC ∼ 95 K. © 2009 World Scientific Publishing Company.
