Multiple chip rates can be applied to a DS/CDMA system in order to enhance potential system capacity which otherwise is limited by spreading code family size. The technique is called by us 'chip rate division multiple access' (CRDMA). A co-channel interference method based on cross-correlation statistics is used to study performance of the CRDMA with various spreading code families.
