dc.description.abstractThe evaluation of the zeros of a high order FIR filter using the successive search and defiate technique suffers from very severe numerical problems. Such methods often fail if the filter length is larger than 100 even if double precision arithmetic is used. A new robust method is presented for evaluating the zeros of a high order FIR filter.
