Issue Date: | 1-Feb-2011 | Citation: | Bai, S.-Q., Young, D.J., Hor, T.S.A. (2011-02-01). Nitrogen-rich azoles as ligand spacers in coordination polymers. Chemistry - An Asian Journal 6 (2) : 292-304. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1002/asia.201000698 | Abstract: | N-heterocycle-based ligands are versatile building-blocks for coordination oligomer and polymer assemblies of first-row transition metals. Herein, we review recent developments in the design and synthesis of some nitrogen-rich azole-based ligands, their assembly modes in coordination oligomers and polymers, and the potential applications of the resulting metallosupramolecules. Spacer Oddity: Hybrid azoles support a myriad of coordination polymers by serving as flexible and adaptable spacers through a range of coordination modes. Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
