Abstract: Lanthanide triflate-promoted indium- or zinc- mediated allylations of α-aminoaldehyde in aqueous media have been developed and shown to obtain high level of anti-diastereofacial selectivity by the judicious choice of the amino-protecting group, Lewis acid and solvent employed.
