Abstract: A facile synthetic route to mercaptyl functionalized β-cyclodextrins was devised and self-assembled onto the gold electrodes of a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) to afford a durable sensor capable of chiral discrimination of enantiomers. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
